Freedom of choice

• Children are actively encouraged to make choices, knowing they are in a safe and supported environment.

• Within lessons they are offered choices about the level of challenge, how to record and which enrichment activities they want to participate in

• We educate about and provide children with boundaries

• Through PSHE and assemblies, we promote the right to respectfully express views and beliefs

• Children are supported to understand that they have rights and personal freedoms, they are advised how to exercise these safely.

• Children are encouraged to become as independent as possible
