Music is a strength at Brushwood. We are committed to providing 15 hours of whole-class music tuition for every child, every year free of charge. The music curriculum is rich and varied, exposing children to a range of genres and cultural music. All children attend a weekly music assembly where the learning continues and children can appreciate, perform and enjoy making music together. 

Music education is enhanced and enriched through the following:

Music activities during Friday Enrichment (Boom Whackers, singing club etc)

Choir (there are currently two choirs operating t the school)

Peripatetic music lessons (guitar, vocals, violin, drumming)

Rock Steady Lessons (learn to play in a rock band  and play in termly 'gigs' to the rest of the school

Choir take part in Young Voices at the OVO stadium at Wembley

Choir perform as part of the local 'Inconcert' celebration.

In June 2026 we are looking forward to a Music Theme week.
